From the heart of Dillon, South Carolina, Apostle Joseph Ivey has emerged as a venerated leader in both education and ministry, dedicating over 27 years to enriching minds and souls alike. Alongside his devoted wife, Pastor Morella Ivey, he has not only nurtured four sons but has also extended his paternal guidance to numerous spiritual sons and daughters, creating a vast family bound by faith and love.

Apostle Ivey's academic journey is as distinguished as his spiritual voyage. He holds two Master's Degrees from Safe Haven Interdenominational Bible Training Institute in Chapel Hill, NC—one in Biblical Studies and another in Deliverance Ministry. His academic prowess is further highlighted by an Honorary Doctorate in Theology from the Bible Institute of America Theology School in Raeford, NC, and a B.A in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University, obtained in 2019. In June 2024, he celebrated the completion of a dual Doctorate Degree in Christian Family Counseling and Biblical Studies, a testament to his lifelong commitment to spiritual and familial well-being.

Apostle Ivey's ministry began in the vibrant community of Ambassador Cathedral and Greater Zion Wall Baptist Church. There, he served in various capacities—from ushering to leading praise and worship, and eventually stepping into the role of Junior Pastor under the esteemed Chief Apostle Terry L. Peaks-Cash. His mentors, the late Chief Apostle Viril Myers and Apostle Irene Glover, saw in him a profound capacity for leadership, a potential he realized fully as he traveled with the Highways and Hedges #1 Evangelism Team, touching lives far and wide.

In 2022, Apostle Ivey expanded his ministry to the arts as a National Recording Artist, touching hearts globally with his release, “It Was You Lord," celebrated in places from Thailand to London.

Since founding Rise and Shine Ministries in 1998, he has led the congregation through a transformative journey, culminating in the birth of Full Assurance Faith Fellowship Church, upon elevation is now known as Greater Full Assurance International Ministries Inc. Consecrated as Apostle in September 2008, he continues to serve the triangle area with unwavering faith and relentless dedication.
